Criteria:

This award acknowledges a city that excels in the following areas:

  1. Integrated Circular Water Strategies: Implementing innovative and integrated circular water resource management strategies prioritizing water conservation, recycling, and reuse within the urban environment.
  2. Climate Adaptation: Demonstrating resilience in the face of climate-related challenges by adopting proactive measures to address water scarcity, extreme weather events, and other climate-induced water stressors.
  3. Community Engagement: Engaging citizens and local communities in sustainable water practices, fostering a sense of shared responsibility, and promoting awareness about the importance of circular water resource management and water conservation.
  4. Technological Innovation: Utilizing cutting-edge technologies and smart solutions to produce new water, optimize water use, minimize wastage, and enhance overall efficiency in water resource management.
  5. Collaborative Governance: Establishing partnerships between government bodies, private sectors, and local communities to create a cohesive and sustainable approach to circular water resource management.

 

Presentation:

The award will be presented at the Gala Dinner awards ceremony during the IDRA World Congress, showcasing the winning city as a leader in resilient circular water resource management. Nominations are exclusively open to active IDRA members. It’s important to note that IDRA membership is not a prerequisite for the entity being nominated. To submit your nominations, kindly forward the required information to awards@idrawater.org on or before the deadline of August 31, 2024.
